The Volvo 850 T5 was, to be honest, already close to the end of its life. Purchased in 2014, it received a basic service—and then immediately proved everyone wrong.
After that maintenance check, we drove the car all the way to Spain and back, and even managed to squeeze in two laps of the Nürburgring. Remarkably, the 850 handled all of this without any major engine-related issues, showing just how tough these cars can be.
Over time, however, the usual age-related problems started to appear. The air conditioning stopped working, the seat heating failed, and oil leaks became more noticeable. While none of these issues were catastrophic on their own, they were clear signs that the car was slowly wearing out.
