The T5 is back in the Netherlands. In total, we covered nearly 5,000 km in two weeks. Average fuel consumption worked out at 1 in 11.5, which is actually quite reasonable for a five-cylinder turbo engine.
Oil “consumption” was also acceptable, at around 600 ml over the entire trip. Most of that oil isn’t actually being burned by the engine, but is instead seeping out through leaking gaskets. Exactly which gaskets are responsible is still unclear, though the turbo area is the main suspect.
Just slightly too big for this small space…
