Tim’s Volvo S40, with 132,000 km, had a few minor issues that needed attention.
The paint had faded badly—almost turning pink—and the fuel gauge wasn’t working at all.
After a trip through the car wash, we drove to the workshop and started troubleshooting the fuel gauge. The problem turned out to be a loose wire. After re-soldering the connection, everything worked perfectly again.
Next up was some basic maintenance. The engine oil and oil filter were replaced, which was definitely overdue.
With the technical issues sorted, it was time to focus on the looks. We started polishing the S40, and the difference was immediately noticeable.
