The Volvo 850 suddenly refused to start and left us stranded. After a short diagnosis, it became clear that the fuel pump had failed completely. The root cause turned out to be a melted ground wire, which prevented the pump from operating at all.
The fuel pump was replaced, the wiring issue was resolved, and the 850 is now running exactly as it should again.
An inconvenient breakdown, but fortunately a clear diagnosis and a straightforward repair.
